Capt. J.M. Park would like to
invite you cordially on board the Unique
Shipping & Agencies service, of which
office can observe from its balcony of 8th floor
the chessboard pattern streets of Yangon
together with the prominent Port Authority Tower
and the various port facilities along with the
Yangon River.
Yangon is a commercial
seaport built by the British planning design
about 150 years ago, and has looked over the
drastic transition of the shipping history from
the age of the sailing ships to the modernized
motor vessels today throughout the epoch-making
inauguration of the Suez Canal and the both
warfare of WWI & WWII.
It was our strong desire to
establish a manning agency at the historical
seaport of Yangon to recruit & deploy the
Myanmar Seamen at the five oceans and six
continents covering the globe, thus the
Unique Shipping & Agencies was launched
under the registration at the Seamen Employment
Control Division (SECD) and the official license
by the Department of Marine Administration (DMA)
under the Ministry of Transport of Union of
Myanmar.
Unique Shipping &
Agencies is a collaborated company of
Myanmar and Korea to supply the well-trained and
qualified Myanmar Seamen to the ship-owners and
the ship management companies all over the
world, under the skillful supervision &
technology arranged by the Korean system with
well experienced management.
For the convenience of the
clients, our communication system by e-mail
shall be made not only in English but also in
Korean languages in order to response as quick
as possible in your language.
Today the ship-owners and the
ship management companies are facing a dilemma
how to minimize the cost of Seamen without
reducing the quality of them in order to
overcome the international competitions as well
as to protect and to keep well-maintenance of
your valuable assets of vessels.
Under these circumstances,
the emerging of the Myanmar Seamen came into
focus among the international shipping
industries in recent years, and consequently the
manning businesses are mushrooming at Yangon,
which, however, are apt to select and supply
easily the qualified Seamen to the clients
overseas only by the required documents though
it is not all of them.
Our challenge, therefore, has
just started to improve the quality of the
Myanmar Seamen by our unique schooling program
to upgrade our Seamen to meet the diverse
requirements of our clients as much as possible
just like custom-made Seamen.
For this purpose, we have
collected intentionally the negative remarks of
the poor performances made by the Seamen from
the different manning countries which were
experienced by the various ship-owners and the
ship management companies in order to reflect
them to our unique schooling program as a
negative example.

sheets separately)
The unique schooling program
is arranged separately on top of the essential
Seamen’s course which is given at any shipping
agencies at Yangon.
During the implementation of
our unique schooling program to our students, we
discovered that those man powers have enough
potential to develop to the various fields of
vocations besides Seamen such as the ordinary
office staff, the private secretary, the
supervisor of the factory, the hotel and the
restaurant staff and, consequently, the staff
for the luxurious passenger ship as well.
Besides the human resources
as above, Unique Shipping & Agencies
is also pleased to contribute the clients as
your consultant and advisor of business to
establish the new office or business in Myanmar
as the country is so rich with the natural
resources as mineral and precious stones, the
forest products as golden teak wood, the marine
